Prayer of Love
Sometimes we pray to God to give us something. Sometimes we know exactly what we want but God knows what we need. When we allow God to choose He gives us more then what we ask for. I wrote this poem to share with you the wonderful glory that God gave me. Nothing on earth here is more important then what God gives to you. Your spouse is that gift from God. Cherish that gift, love that gift. If you look at my signature you will see my motto. “Choose your love, then love your choice.” Marriage is not based on love, but based on a contract. This contract you made was between you and God. Many people marry out of love, and then once love goes, so does the marriage. But a contract that is between you and God cannot be broken. You made a choice with your spouse now love that choice. Love him/her even when you don’t want to, love them when you hurt and when you are happy. Marriage takes work, but there is nothing more important then that bond you share.
Here is a poem I wrote that helps understand my feelings for my wife.
Late one evening, late in the day.
Sitting alone, I started to pray.
“Give me a wife, a person to love.”
“Give me a mate, sent from above” Across the earth, crying one night.
Sitting alone, holding hands tight.
“Lord hear my cry, give my a gift.”
“Send me a man, for my heart to lift” Smiling down, God heard the prayer
“Children, don’t worry, give Me your care”
“Long time ago, I put him to sleep”
“I took his rib, so please don’t weep” “I had a plan, before you were born”
“I am in control, so you will not be torn”
“I send you this girl, your heart will be glad”
“I give you this man, stop being sad” Two lonely people, far across the land.
Gave God the choice to move His hand.
Two people, one heart, Two lives one Start.
Two minds living as one, Two Lives now have a son. Looking back I know the intent
God has a purpose, I know she was sent.
God answered my prayer, God sent me a wife
God gave her a husband till the end of our life.
